On last Saturday my friend named Ajay gave me a phone call and requested me to have a visit at his home in the evening. When I asked him the reason for such an immediate visit, he replied that his son couldn’t perform well in his final exams and as a result failed. But all of a sudden unfortunately has decided to quit studying and now he wants my help to motivate his son to get back to school and continue his studies. After listening this I promised Ajay to visit his residence that evening. When I reached Ajay’s residence that evening I saw Naman (Ajay’s son) crying in the lobby. When Naman saw me he immediately ran towards his room. After following Naman when I entered his room he requested me to tell his father that he should not force him to get back to studies. After listening this when I asked the reason for this from Naman he replied, “After not performing well in the final examination he is really ashamed of his failure and now he don’t have the courage to face his friends in the school and as a result of which has decided to quit his studies”.
Soon after listening this I explained Naman that, “Quitting studies is not the solution rather than this he should learn from his mistakes because failure is only an opportunity to begin again but only this time more wisely”. I further added that, “Courage is not absence of fear but overcoming your fear”. Face your friends with courage and I assure you that they will support you. After listening this Naman promised me and his parents to get back to school and apologized for such behaviour.
