Two months ago I got an opportunity to attend a farewell party of my neighbour Mr. Nanda. Mr. Nanda had served forty years in Indian Railways. I congratulated him on this occasion. When I asked Mr. Nanda about his future plans, he said, “Currently I don’t have any specific plan for the upcoming life”. I would simply like to enjoy mine this part of life as it comes. He further added, “But one thing I would regret in my life that I couldn’t do anything for my home town”. When I asked him to elaborate what he meant Mr. Nanda replied, “I was born and brought up in ‘Nahargadh’ a village in Rajasthan and I had a deep desire to work for the betterment of the village. But alas! I couldn’t do anything for that place and now it’s too late.
After listening this I said to Mr. Nanda, “Sir it’s not too late”. Now also you can do whatever your plans were for the betterment of ‘Nahargadh’. At least only for once give yourself a chance before neglecting it. I further added, “Don’t underestimate yourself. Look at the positive side of your life, currently you have ample of knowledge, experience and time to work in this direction and I believe it is your calling and now it is the right time for you to accept it”. And I assure you Sir if you would talk about this with your family they will definitely support you in this great cause.
After listening my words Mr. Nanda replied, “Thanks young man for being the reason to give my life a purpose”. Currently Mr. Nanda is residing in ‘Nahargadh’ and still serving his motherland.
