There is nothing permanent except change. This old adage has been proved true yet again when last year I attended wedding anniversary party of my neighbour Mr and Mrs Bhardwaj. The couple is typical conservative regarding their customs and traditions but to my big surprise on their wedding anniversary the couple announced the engagement date of their son Aditya with his colleague Miss Gurleen Kaur. As the couple announced this happy news there was a huge applause in the hall. Guests soon started giving their best wishes to Aditya and Gurleen but I first congratulated Mr and Mrs Bhardwaj for coming out of their conservative mindset and understanding their son. I said to the couple, “Congratulations for accepting the change and understanding your son”. Mr and Mrs Bhardwaj replied, “Mr Sharma now we also understood that there is nothing permanent except change and we must accept it gracefully”.
